Every February we celebrate our annual sale, marking down glasses as a way to say thanks, and give people an excuse to buy that second pair for the office, or summer road trips, or to pair with formal wear, or…
Well, you get the idea!
It’s a way for us to clear out our inventory so we can make room for all the new frames we have coming in.
This sale has been a tradition since the beginning, and we always look forward to it.
But the elephant in the room is that it’s no longer our February sale.
We’ve been in denial for a few years.
It all started in 2021. We noticed it when a few customers came in several times stricken with indecision. There were a few more frames this year then we normally had so we decided to keep the February sale going a bit longer, until the end of March.
2022 rolled around and the same thing happened. February ended and we were faced with the decision of whether to keep it going once again. We did, of course, and it was just as awesome.
By 2023, we started letting people know about our February Sale once more, but we knew it was going to keep rolling into March.
Could we even call it a February Sale anymore? It rolled off the tongue.
It was a SPEX thing that people knew about and looked forward to every year.
Heck, we even started getting copy cats doing their own February Sale.
But we’re not the kind of store that stubbornly sticks to traditions.
We’re SPEX by Ryan. We challenge the status quo. We’ve always boldly embraced change.
